Terms and Conditions of the Course for SchoolCentral Training Academy

This document outlines the terms and conditions that apply when enrolling in any course provided by SchoolCentral Training Academy, a subsidiary of In The Creative Box Pty (Ltd). By enrolling in any of our courses, you agree to the following terms:


1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for any course with SchoolCentral Training Academy, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions, as well as any other terms specific to the course you enroll in. These terms are legally binding and apply to all students, regardless of their location.

You also agree that you have read, understood, and accept our Privacy Policy regarding how we handle and protect your personal information.


2. Course Enrollment

  • Eligibility: You must meet any prerequisites or qualifications specified for the course to enroll. This may include age restrictions, prior knowledge, or experience in the subject matter.

  • Registration: You are required to provide accurate and up-to-date personal information when registering. SchoolCentral reserves the right to refuse enrollment if false information is provided.

  • Confirmation: Upon successful enrollment, you will receive a confirmation email with details about the course schedule, materials, and access instructions.


3. Course Delivery

  • Format: Courses may be delivered in-person, online, or as blended learning (a combination of both). Please ensure that you have the necessary technical requirements, such as internet access, to attend online courses.

  • Course Materials: All materials needed for the course will be provided digitally unless otherwise specified. You are responsible for acquiring any additional resources not supplied by SchoolCentral, such as textbooks, software, or tools.

  • Access: For online courses, you will be granted access to the learning platform upon course registration. This access is non-transferable and must not be shared with anyone.


4. Payment Terms

  • Course Fees: All fees, including tuition, registration, and any applicable VAT, will be clearly communicated before you register. Course fees must be paid in full unless a payment plan is arranged.

  • Payment Methods: Payment must be made using one of the accepted methods (e.g., credit card, EFT, PayPal, or others). You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information is accurate and up to date.

  • Non-Payment: If you fail to make a payment by the due date, SchoolCentral reserves the right to suspend or cancel your access to the course until full payment is received.


5. Refund Policy

  • Course Cancellations: If SchoolCentral cancels a course, you will be eligible for a full refund or an option to transfer to another course.

  • Withdrawal: If you withdraw from the course before it starts, a full refund may be provided, minus any administrative fees. After the course has begun, refunds will not be issued unless under exceptional circumstances.

  • Refund Requests: To request a refund, please contact us at info@schoolcentral.io with your registration details. Refunds are processed within 14 working days.


6. Course Changes and Cancellations

  • Modifications: SchoolCentral reserves the right to modify course content, schedules, instructors, or delivery methods. Any significant changes will be communicated in advance to ensure minimum disruption.

  • Course Rescheduling: If a course must be rescheduled for any reason (e.g., instructor unavailability or insufficient enrollment), we will notify you and provide alternatives, including new course dates or a full refund.


7. Academic Integrity

  • Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism or academic dishonesty will result in disciplinary actions, including possible expulsion from the course without a refund.

  • Exams and Assessments: You must complete all assessments and exams independently unless otherwise specified (e.g., group projects). Assistance or cheating during assessments is strictly prohibited.

  • Completion: Certificates of completion or qualifications will only be awarded if you successfully complete the course, including all assessments and projects.


8. Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: All course content, including videos, slides, documents, and assessments, are the intellectual property of SchoolCentral or its instructors. You are granted limited, non-transferable access to use these materials solely for your personal learning.

  • Prohibited Use: You agree not to reproduce, distribute, share, or sell any course materials without the explicit written permission of SchoolCentral Training Academy.


9. Attendance and Participation

  • Attendance: You are expected to attend all scheduled sessions for in-person and online courses. SchoolCentral reserves the right to track attendance and issue warnings for repeated absenteeism.

  • Participation: Active participation in discussions, group work, and practical sessions is encouraged. For online courses, you are expected to regularly access the platform, complete tasks, and participate in any scheduled virtual meetings.


10. Code of Conduct

  • Respect: You are required to engage respectfully with fellow learners and instructors. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • Disciplinary Action: Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct may result in removal from the course without a refund, at the sole discretion of SchoolCentral.


11. Limitation of Liability

SchoolCentral will not be held responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the course, including but not limited to technical issues, data loss, or delays. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the course.


12. Use of Personal Data

By enrolling in the course, you agree to the use of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Your data will be used for course administration, communication, and certification purposes. We will not share your data with third parties except as necessary for course delivery.


13. Force Majeure

SchoolCentral will not be liable for any failure to deliver the course or meet other obligations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, wars, or public health emergencies.


14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
