By accessing or using the SchoolCentral website, platform, or related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service (“Agreement”). This Agreement includes all policies and terms provided in the linked documents below, as well as the specific eSports Terms where applicable.

If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement or the related policies, please refrain from using our Service.

1. User Accounts

  • Account Creation: Users must create an account to access certain features of the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and immediately notifying SchoolCentral of any unauthorized access.

  • Unauthorized Access: SchoolCentral is not liable for any losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to maintain the security of your account.

5. Course Terms and Conditions

By enrolling in any of the courses offered through SchoolCentral, you agree to abide by the specific course terms, including eligibility, attendance, and completion requirements.

6. Code of Conduct and Behaviour Policy

  • Respect and Professionalism: All users are expected to interact respectfully with instructors, fellow learners, and SchoolCentral staff. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour may result in termination of your account.

7. Learning Pathway & Assessment Agreement

By enrolling in a course, you acknowledge your understanding of the learning pathway and assessment requirements, including submission deadlines and grading criteria.

8. Marketing and Communication Consent

SchoolCentral may send you marketing communications with your consent. You can opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe link provided in emails or contacting us directly.

9. eSports Terms and Conditions

SchoolCentral E-Sports provides a dynamic platform for competitive gaming events. Participation in these events is governed by additional terms, including but not limited to:

  • Eligibility: Participants must be at least 10 years old. Parental consent is required for participants under 18.

  • Code of Conduct: Participants must adhere to all event rules and treat others respectfully. Harassment, cheating, and unsportsmanlike behavior are grounds for disqualification.

  • Prizes: Prize distribution will follow the specific rules of the competition. Winners are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with their prizes.

  • Safety: SchoolCentral is not responsible for any injuries or property damage incurred during events.

10. Limitation of Liability

SchoolCentral is not liable for any indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities, resulting from your use of the Service. Our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid for the Service over the past 12 months.

11. Termination of Service

SchoolCentral reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you will lose access to all course materials and data associated with your account.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising out of this Agreement will be resolved under South African law.

13. Changes to This Agreement

SchoolCentral reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time. Notice of significant changes will be posted, and continued use of the Service following such changes will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
