Payment Terms and Refund Policy

The following payment terms and refund policy apply to all courses offered by SchoolCentral Training Academy, a subsidiary of In The Creative Box Pty (Ltd).
1. Course Fees and Payment Methods
1.1 Course Fees
The total cost of each course is communicated at the time of registration and may include:
- Tuition fees: The base price for the course.
- Registration fees: An additional non-refundable fee (if applicable).
- Materials or software costs: If any materials (books, software licenses, etc.) are required beyond what SchoolCentral provides, this will be communicated beforehand.
- VAT: All prices include VAT unless otherwise specified.
1.2 Payment Methods
SchoolCentral accepts the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Card (via Stripe or another secure payment gateway)
- PayPal
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Direct Bank Deposit
- WooCommerce Payments (via the integrated payment gateway on the SchoolCentral platform)
1.3 Installment Payment Plans
For certain courses, SchoolCentral may offer a payment plan that allows the total course fee to be split into monthly or quarterly installments. The following conditions apply:
- Initial Deposit: An initial payment (typically the first installment) is required to secure your place in the course.
- Installment Schedule: Payments are due on the 1st of every month unless otherwise specified.
- Late Payments: A late fee may be applied if payments are not received by the due date, and failure to pay within 30 days may result in suspension of course access until payment is made.
1.4 Discounts and Coupons
SchoolCentral may offer:
- Early Bird Discounts: Enroll by a specific date to receive a discount on the total course fee (e.g., 10% off).
- Coupon Codes: For promotional periods or partnerships, coupon codes may be provided that offer discounts on the course fee.
- Group Discounts: Discounts may be available for group enrollments of three or more students.
Discounts cannot be combined unless explicitly stated. All discounts must be applied at the time of registration.
2. Refund Policy
2.1 Refund Eligibility
Refunds will be issued under the following conditions:
- Course Cancellation by SchoolCentral: If SchoolCentral cancels a course before it begins, you are entitled to a full refund, including registration and any additional fees.
- Withdrawal Before Course Start Date: You may withdraw from a course up to 14 days before the start date and receive a full refund, minus any non-refundable registration fees or administrative costs.
- Withdrawal After Course Start: Once the course has started, refunds will only be issued under exceptional circumstances (e.g., serious illness or family emergency), subject to approval by SchoolCentral. In such cases, only a prorated refund will be offered based on the percentage of the course completed.
Important: No refunds will be issued if you fail to complete the course or if you are dismissed for misconduct or violation of the Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Refund Process
To request a refund, you must:
- Submit a written request via email to refunds@schoolcentral.io within the eligible refund period.
- Include your registration details (full name, course name, registration date) and the reason for your refund request.
Refunds are processed within 14 business days from the time the request is approved. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
3. Non-Payment and Access Suspension
3.1 Late or Missed Payments
If you are enrolled in a payment plan and miss a scheduled payment:
- You will receive a reminder and a 7-day grace period to make the payment without penalty.
- After 7 days, a late payment fee of R100 ZAR may be applied.
- If payment is still not received after 30 days, your access to the course materials may be suspended until full payment is made.
3.2 Course Access
Course access is granted only after payment (or the first installment in a payment plan) has been successfully received. If full payment or scheduled installments are not made, SchoolCentral reserves the right to:
- Suspend access to course materials and content.
- Withhold certification or completion documentation until all payments have been made.
4. Course Transfer Policy
4.1 Course Transfers by the Student
If you wish to transfer to a different course, you may do so under the following conditions:
- Before Course Start Date: Transfers are allowed up to 7 days before the start date of the course, subject to availability and approval by SchoolCentral.
- After Course Start Date: Course transfers after the start date are generally not allowed unless exceptional circumstances apply.
4.2 Course Transfers by SchoolCentral
If SchoolCentral needs to transfer you to a different course (e.g., due to changes in schedule or instructor availability), you will be notified and offered the option to accept the transfer or request a refund.
5. Payment Security
We take the security of your payment information seriously. All payment transactions are processed using SSL encryption to ensure that your details are protected. We do not store credit card details or share payment information with third parties, except for trusted payment processors.
6. Disputes and Chargebacks
In case of a payment dispute or chargeback:
- You agree to contact us first to resolve the issue before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider.
- Unresolved chargebacks may result in the suspension or cancellation of your course enrollment.
7. Governing Law
This Payment Terms and Refund Policy is governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes or claims arising from your enrollment or payment will be resolved under South African law.
