Participant Information

Registration Details:

• Pre-Registration Required: Secure your spot early to join the festivities!
• Registration Deadline: Closes December 14, 2024, or when capacity is reached.
• How to Register: Visit learn.schoolcentral.io to complete your registration and purchase tickets.
• Check-In: Upon arrival, receive your event pass and a festive welcome pack filled with surprises.

Entry Fee Information:

• General Admission: R350 per person, which includes access to all gaming areas and participation in tournaments. Playtime: Up to 10 hours. Access: Standard gaming zones (PC, consoles, and board games).
• Payment Methods Accepted: Credit card, PayFast, and cash payments are accepted. All payments are non-refundable.

Rules and Regulations:

• General Conduct: Participants are expected to behave respectfully and courteously towards all attendees and staff. Any form of harassment will result in immediate expulsion from the event.
• Gaming Rules: Official rules for each game will be available on the event website and at the event. Participants must follow all game-specific rules and instructions from referees and event staff.
• Equipment: Personal gaming equipment is allowed but subject to inspection by event staff for compliance with event standards. The event provides all necessary gaming consoles and computers.
• Age Restrictions: Participants must be 10 years or older. Minors (under 18) require parental consent to register.
• Safety and Health: Follow all posted safety guidelines and health protocols. Masks and hand sanitization may be required based on current health guidelines.

Safety and Accessibility Information

Venue Accessibility:

• The School Central office venue is fully accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Ramps and accessible restrooms are available throughout the venue.
• Designated parking spots are available close to the entrance for attendees with disabilities.

Health and Safety Protocols:

• COVID-19 Precautions: While no longer mandatory, we recommend wearing masks indoors, especially in crowded or enclosed spaces. Hand sanitization stations will be set up around the venue, and we encourage regular use.
• Emergency Procedures: Emergency exits are marked throughout the venue. In case of an emergency, follow the signs to the nearest exit and assemble at the designated safe area outside. Event staff will guide you if evacuation is necessary.
• First Aid: A first aid station is located near the main entrance and will be staffed throughout the event. If you require medical assistance, please approach any event staff member or go directly to the first aid station.

Personal Device Use:

• Attendees bringing their own devices must ensure they are fully charged. Limited charging stations will be available, so bringing a personal power bank is advisable.
• Devices will be inspected upon entry to ensure compliance with event standards. This is to ensure all equipment used does not interfere with the venue’s network and other attendees’ devices.

General Safety Tips:

• Keep personal belongings such as bags, phones, and wallets secure at all times to prevent loss or theft.
• Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity or unattended bags immediately to the event staff.
• Stay hydrated throughout the day, especially if participating in intense gaming sessions. Water stations will be available around the venue.

Reporting Issues:

• Should any issues arise, whether related to safety, equipment, or general event inquiries, our event staff wearing designated uniforms will be available throughout the venue to assist you.
